April 2026 Update!

The sun is finally, finally shining in Ireland and the evenings are getting brighter, EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE OKAY!!
I’ve spent every day working really hard for the past two months and finally have some stuff to show, starting with:
My OoShin Doujin is COMPLETE!
I’ve been working on it on and off for 2 months, desperately trying to finish it before Doujima, but it’s finally DONE and printed! I just received the printed copies this morning.
It’s a very simple, tropey doujin plot but it’s my first time making one and I had so much fun with it. I already have an idea for another one… I learned a lot while making it!
I’ve always wanted to draw in a kind of manga style like this in greyscale with screentones. I feel like colouring is my strongest point, and my line art doesn’t really hold strong on its own. So this year, I want to get better at line art and maybe spend less time rendering, as much as I love it. What better way to improve than an entire greyscale comic! I could l iterally feel myself improving while making it haha.
I have been seeing so many passionate Ooe fans constantly posting their works for events and web onlys, so I was really inspired by them to do this… It made me admire them even more. I was working every single day on this, some days from morning to night. But a lot of Japanese fans will get something like this done, in an even shorter timeframe, while working a full time job too, and I’m like… HOW!? IT’S SO HARD!! We’re all truly crazy and fuelled by yaoi. Fujos are amazing.
Anyways! My doujin will be available at Doujima and Dokomi, however you can purchase it online here! It’s 32 pages cover to cover, and it is 18+. Contains pillow humping and frotting. Yay! I think every single comic/vn I’ve ever written has included a desperate masturbation scene. I will make sure to keep this up.
I’m extremely grateful my next con is in Asia. I’m addicted to making things that nobody will buy. I’ve met two Ooe fans in all of Ireland over the past year of tabling. Nobody has even recognised any of my Hashihime or UuultraC fan art here – and those two visual novels have official English releases on steam!! But yeah I know Ooe will be more recognised at Doujima and Dokomi so I’m very excited for all my drawing over the past year to pay off ahaha. Will be fun to give my Ooe art to people who are not one of my 3 irl friends who I forced to play the game.
I just love Ooe a lot guys... I need to make a write up about it some time I am so fond of it... It's been almost a year since I first played it now and it's still on my mind all the time. Shimbashi really has such a special place in my heart. <3
New Merch Designs!
I also designed a lot of new stuff over the past month for Doujima & Dokomi! Sticker sheets, plush badges, and a can shaped badge for Shimbashi!
None of this is for sale online yet, I’ll have it at Doujima and Dokomi, but it will be online afterwards! The Konoe sticker sheet is a stamp rally prize for Dokomi, but I do plan to draw the other N+C boys in this style and sell them individually.
Lamb to the Slaughter
And finally, a bit of an update on myself and my partner’s new original comic, “Lamb to the Slaughter” (working title lol). I mentioned in my last post how I completed the script and talked a bit about it. We got a bit of work under way for over the past month, Sarah sketched out a few pages and I’ve formatted them. We’re still in the sketching/thumbnailing stage right now, but it’s coming along nicely and I’m really confident in it! We can’t really show much right now, but Sarah drew this really nice piece of our couple, Lias and June, so I’ll share that!
Ramblingggg
So yeah not much news on the new comic but it will be out this year! In my last post, I mentioned we planned to debut it at Y/Con in November, but unfortunately we were not fast enough to secure a table, so I’m not sure if we will be there. Sorry to complain a bit, but why a genre specific yaoi/yuri convention accepts 75% of its artists based on “who can get their entire application filled in in under 2 minutes” and only 25% based on “who’s portfolio suits best fits the theme of the con”, I do not know. I opened the application in French because I didn’t realise they had an English version, so it took me longer to read than normal oops…
”First come first serve” and lottery systems are my enemies for cons lol. If I get rejected purely because other people’s portfolios are stronger than mine I can accept it, and work to improve. But if I keep getting rejected because I fill in a form too slowly or because my luck is shit (which it is)…. FEELS BAD…
But!! We will still be working hard on it!! And regardless of if we are there or not, it will be finished by Y/Con November!
I wish I could say that’s all but, I still have a lot of work to do... I’m very excited to go to Doujima, because yes I will obviously be working, but we booked some extra time there as a bit of a holiday, and will be travelling to Osaka for a few days after the con to visit a friend too. I’m really really looking forward to relaxing a bit, I’ve been having a crazy stressful year and haven’t had a real break since my last holiday in August 2024… Granted this will be a bit different because I still have to bring my iPad and work for Dokomi while abroad but still, very very excited!
I don't have much planned for Osaka aside from eating nice food and doing karaoke, but honestly, that alone would be enough for me. I will be going to the Hashihime collab café though, which I'm very excited about! I went to a Higurashi collab café last time I was in Osaka, and it was really cute and fun, but also me and my gf were the only customers there haha. I had to reserve a spot for the Hashihime one, so I'm betting it will be busy! I'm excited to just be among fellow fans and eat some dookie collab cafe food. <3
